The Astrilla is made of goat leather at the palm and cuff, and softwill fabric at the back of the hand. It is fitted with a tricot liner and the absence of a membrane makes is suited for hot riding conditions. The knuckles are reinforced with ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) which is rubber-like in its finish and flexibility and provides impact absorption. This same reinforcement can be found at the outer palm to protect the important and fragile pisiform bone. Heat-conductive fabric is fitted at the tips of the index fingers.
